COVID-19 POLICY

The Temple Bar Inn would like to reassure our guests of our commitment to the wellbeing of our customers, staff, and the wider community.

We are working alongside guidelines from Government and Public Health officials, Fáilte Ireland and the HSE, and have put comprehensive measures and protocols in place to ensure that we provide a safe and comfortable environment for our guests to enjoy while we navigate through these times.

Face Covers

Our team wear the appropriate PPE for the protection of all. PPE worn include face masks, gloves and aprons as required. We would ask that hotel residents wear their masks as advised by Public Health officials in public areas of the hotel.

Contactless Check-in

All guests who have provided us with an email address upon booking will receive an invitation to check in online 48 hours before their stay.

Digital Payments

Our hotel operates a cashless policy for the safety of our guests and our staff. We accept all major credit and debit cards.

Room Cleaning

The hotel uses cleaning and disinfecting protocols and tools to clean rooms after guests depart and before the next guest arrives. Particular care will be given to all high touch items in the rooms and the room will undergo a full sanitisation with specialist disinfection products.

Hygiene Protocols and Social Distancing

Frequent and thorough hand washing is pivotal to combating the spread of the virus. Our team are aware that this simple act can save lives. As such, retraining on proper hand washing techniques has been conducted. Our housekeeping teams wear disposable gloves that are changed after every usage.

Hand sanitisers have been placed in all public areas and at all staff stations.

We provide paper tissues and have closed bins for disposing of used tissues.

To comply with social distancing, we have reduced the seating capacity in our dining area. This ensures that minimum physical distancing requirements between tables can be met as per Government guidelines. Our buffet breakfast has been replaced by a freshly made to order menu direct from our kitchen. As always, our team is on hand to ensure our guests' dietary needs are met.

The Restaurant is deep cleaned daily. Food preparation areas adhere to strict food safety procedures.

We have removed all unnecessary touch points and have digitalised all in-room literature. Hotel Information and Breakfast Menus are now accessible through a QR code which can be found on the TV in guest rooms.

Room keys provided to guests on their check in have been disinfected prior.

Our dedicated cleaning them are continuously cleaning and disinfecting public area spaces and all high touch areas.

Ongoing Training

In addition to training on housekeeping and hand washing/ hygiene protocols, our team have also completed enhanced COVID-19 awareness training. Action plans have been put in place for all scenarios.
